Job Description: 

In this position, you will be part of the Xeon Product and Solutions group working on storage technology. As a software validation intern, you will participate in many innovative projects, and apply your expertise in a fast-paced technology-driven environment. You'll be part of a bright engineering team that has open communication, empowerment, innovation, teamwork, and a customer success culture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong self-directed work ethic and a can-do attitude. Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven analytical and critical thinking and a demonstrated ability to work with remote development/validation teams are required for this position. Join the team of people creating innovative solutions for server enterprise market.

You will be participating in the following activities:

  • All stages of software validation lifecycle (requirements definition and analysis, test design, research, test development and execution, post-release support activities)
  • Investigating technologies and solutions which help the team achieve deliverables on the product roadmap
  • Designing, developing, enhancing, and validating various enterprise tests for user and kernel modules
  • Documenting validation specifications and requirements
  • Defining functional and non-functional requirements for software validation
  • Working closely with software developers to mentor the lower-level design and test implementation

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Student in Computer Science or related fields
  • Open mind and eagerness to learn and self-develop
  • Basic object-programming knowledge

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of the testing principles
  • Knowledge of the computer / server architecture
  • Knowledge of the Linux/Windows environment
