Opportunity: Legal Counsel - Labor and Employment
HHM Hotels is an industry-leading hotel management and investment firm that operates over 230 hotels across the United States and Canada, with a portfolio that includes Marriott, Hilton, IHG as well as independent and boutique hotels.
HHM’s business has experienced rapid growth over the past few years and, as the company continues to scale its operations, HHM’s legal team is seeking an accomplished attorney to lead employment and labor compliance matters for the company. This position will report directly to the General Counsel and serve as a trusted advisor to the organization’s leaders and work closely with HHM’s People Support team. Given the size and geographic breadth of HHM’s employee population, this position will have the opportunity to work with outside counsel across a number of different jurisdictions to ensure compliance with ever-evolving regulations.
Responsibilities will include (1) the review and generation of labor policies with the assistance of HHM’s People Support team and outside counsel, (2) implementation of all such policies and ensuring compliance throughout the portfolio, including periodic audits, and (3) managing employment litigation matters. There will also be additional opportunities to assist the legal team with general legal functions, such as commercial contracting and other operational matters impacting our hotels.
