Position Statement

This is your chance to be a part of an in-house team that’s using guest insights to evolve our industry-leading channels and deliver personalized experiences. As a Director of MarTech Product, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. As part of Customer Engagement, Loyalty & Partnership team in China, you will help drive Hilton’s MarTech roadmap by working on assigned areas to understand business and technology requirements, and related use case development. You will leading and driving forward the strategy for building the right MarTech solution for China to engage with our customers.

As the Director MarTech GCM, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

  • Develop the MarTech strategy and roadmap for China in collaboration with global MarTech team, IT team, CRM, Loyalty, and Marketing teams with the 

goal to address China specific digital channels and consumer behaviour.

  • Understand Hilton’s systems connectivity and CRM approach principles to solution for China’s customer engagement needs and requirements. 
  • Support China’s regional commercial, marketing, and loyalty teams to optimize Hilton’s marketing efficiency including better reach, acquisition, 

ROI, data capture, targeting, etc. 

  • Utilize analytical insights to examine data, ideas, identify assumptions and obtain detailed information to help plan MarTech solutions and 

technology products.

  • Lead digital product regionalization and optimizations for the region including champion in-language product enhancements and enabling digital 

features in language. Ensure that MarTech initiatives are aligned with development & optimization of in-language digital products. Utilize Martech 

solutions to enhance performance, user experience, and effectiveness of in-language digital products, promoting seamless integration and alignment 

between marketing technology and digital product development efforts.

  • Lead and coordinating IT and system enhancements related to MarTech scope, continuous effort on problem solving and facilitate Hilton internal 

cross-functional alignments

  • Keeping abreast of China specific customer data rules, regulations and requirements. Working with Legal, Privacy, Security, and Compliance as 

necessary to facilitate proper implementation. 

  • Negotiate with new vendors representing needs alongside the Hilton Supply Management and legal teams
  • Lead RFIs, RFPs and vendor demos for the Martech team when relevant working alongside Technology partners
  • Drive delivery of projects and results from a leadership seat, including the socialization of learnings and successes to the Enterprise.
  • Document requirements for any new business requests on behalf of the Marketing team and ensure approval and prioritization. 
  • Leverage reporting, analytics, and customer insights studies to develop deep understanding of value members and key customer segments to reach, 

target, and engage.

  • Minimum education: BA/BS bachelor’s degree.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in marketing, products, and/or technology 
  • Strong ability to analyze financial data in order to make strategic and tactical decisions
  • Excellent communication ability in both English and Chinese to meet business needs
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that build trust and instill confidence to motivate and influence others 
  • Strong time management familiarity, as well as organizational skills. 
  • Results oriented with a strong mind-set to meet deadlines, achieve goals, and balance multiple priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of PPT, XLS, and data manipulation and analysis skills. 

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Create vendor and consulting relationships to ensure you are up to date in the evolving capability landscape in travel and hospitality and other 

potentially relevant industries.

  • Be an expert in the area of Product discipline and methodology, helping MarTech as a function to mature into this space.
  • Feed ideas and recommendations into the MarTech roadmap planning
  • Work closely with Marketing and Technology partners to partner on delivery of roadmap

What projects you will take ownership of:

  • Own ongoing development around Use Cases and User Stories and ensure alignment on those use cases from marketing, technology and CX partners
  • Play a lead role in implementation of organizational change management, as a key partner to internal teams in evolving their strategic and 

operational approaches
