General Purpose

The purpose of the S&P Creation Products department is to enable operational excellence and future readiness of Apparel, Footwear and A&G Product Creation, covering global Creation functions and Sourcing, incl. supply partners. The key objectives of the department are: 

  • Translating strategic direction & demand into a product area strategy and product portfolio which is well balanced between solving operational problems (12-month horizon) and enabling future readiness (3+ years horizon)
  • Executing product ownership for all digital products in the creation area.
  • Executing business process ownership on an operational level.
  • Provisioning of change management & support for these processes & the related systems.

As Business Architecture at S&P Creation Products, you are responsible for supporting user- and consumer-centric growth for product creation, by enabling highly effective, connected, and informed teams across Product Operations and Sourcing, as well as partnering functions. Key to success will be ensuring the teams understand their value proposition within the connected organization and receive / send needed information smoothly to work effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support ensuring every product team in Creation Products clearly understands how and in which value step and capability they create value for the adidas user & consumer, and the connection to other product teams.
  • Ensure global capabilities are updated within the value chains and linked to a Key Performance Indicator structure.
  • Maintain a meaningful structured and connected ideation funnel within Creation Products and towards partnering functions to allow continuous improvement of the value generation linked to the strategic targets of the organization.
  • Support the quarterly and yearly planning cycles for strategic planning on product level empowering the product and leadership teams to have transparency into progress, impediments and gaps through aligned portfolio and roadmap planning methods and tools.
  • Identify & manage the need to establish new or improve existing processes to ensure an efficient Product-Led Organization with standardized practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate changes implemented. Provide formal, continuous communication with leadership teams and Product community on success metrics.
  • Evolve existing frameworks based on learnings during implementation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Decisive, able to think strategically with the big picture on hand, and understand impact on the organization
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Agile Transformations and agile ways of working
  • Experience with product team organization and scaled agile frameworks
  • Leadership skills, with ability to bring frameworks towards execution
  • Creative, energetic personality, able to influence the agenda
  • Foster a highly motivational and highly inclusive working environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and storytelling skills in English
  • Knowledge of adidas Product Creation Process is a plus

Education and Experience:

  • University degree with focus on Business Administration, Communication or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4-5 years of in-depth experience related to Product Ownership, Process Management and/or Project Management
  • Experience working with stakeholders at various seniority levels as well as subject matter experts across various functions (Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Business Stakeholders, Strategy, etc.)
