RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a highly analytical, hard-working and self-starter to join our fast-paced oil and gas corporate finance team as a Vice President. The position requires a strong focus on quantitative and qualitative analysis, independent research abilities and financial modeling paired with natural curiosity of understanding the oil and gas sector and high tolerance for non-linear workstreams and tight deadlines 

While no day is generally like the other, Vice Presidents mostly work on:

  • Company and asset valuations, strategic financial advisory, mergers and acquisitions and private placements, project finance, due diligence and other financial services to companies in the global oil and gas sector.
  • Owning and independently managing workstreams, either in the context of client engagement execution or the preparation of business development support material.
  • Managing, overseeing and reviewing work of more junior team members.
  • Coordinating and reviewing of financial models for new and existing businesses, valuation analyses under discounted cash flow and market multiple approaches, coordinating the preparation of marketing materials and deal documentation, managing potential buyer outreach process and sell-side due diligence.
  • Interacting with current and prospective clients, including virtual and face-to-face meetings and presentations, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement and present interim and final reports / output analysis.
  • Building client relationships and acting as a direct contact with current and prospective clients in the oil and gas and broader energy sector and become a liaison point for other services within Kroll.
  • Providing insight and expertise on the global oil and gas and broader energy sector, research market and competitor information and stay up to date on regulatory changes that shape the industry.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to the Directors and Managing Directors where appropriate, delegating tasks and ensuring their timely completion.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or an MBA from an accredited college/university.
  • 5 to 6 years of work experience with a strong preference for work in strategy consulting, financial advisory, investment banking or private equity.
  • 5 to 6 years of rigorous financial modelling and/or transaction advisory experience.
  • Prior experience in oil and gas, energy or infrastructure with firms is highly desirable.
  • CFA professional designation is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience including managing projects from start to finish and developing client relationships as well as mentoring and developing staff.
  • Detail orientation and meticulousness with an uncompromising desire for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Ability to own projects and work-processes with minimal oversight while delivering outputs constantly above expectations and within deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: flexibility and resourcefulness to do whatever it takes and ability to succeed in ambiguous situations.
  • Knowledge of software packages including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and globally, sometimes for multiple weeks at a time.
  • Experience working with diverse teams.
