The Accounting Manager role will contribute to the integrity of the financial information of the organization and will support the accuracy and timeliness of the financial statements, compliance reporting, global consolidation, transactional areas such as billing and payable and the overall control environment. The Accounting team runs NetSuite as its financial and ERP system.

Job Responsibilities

  • Account reconciliation, including AR, deferred Rev, inventory, accounting records, such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, audit preparation, and revenue and asset accounting
  • Focus on compliance in VAT requirements to invoice our customers accurately, seek recoverables from vendors.
  • Prepare or work with external accounting firm to file VAT returns as required.
  • Ensure compliance with digital invoicing requirements as they become mandatory globally.
  • Enter and review monthly journal entries to properly record accounting transactions.
  • Prepares and analyze monthly internal financial statements and review with management.
  • Develops and maintains accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure that the organization's accounting records and financial statements are accurate and timely
  • Establishes and monitors processes and internal controls to ensure accounting records are accurate and to prevent fraud
  • Working and maintaining data in ERP (NetSuite) system
  • Interact with internal and external customers to analyze and review accounting items.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of total public accounting experience (big 4 preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting required. CPA preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the GAAP
  • Knowledge of NetSuite (or similar ERP)
  • Advanced MS Excel and other MS solutions
  • Experience working with GL, A/P, A/R, and collections.
  • Ability to explain complex accounting concepts in simple terms
  • Ability to produce error-free monthly and ad hoc reporting (improve existing reporting; design, create and proof new reports).
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 (revenue from contracts with customers)
  • Strong understanding of financial controls and SOX
  • Ability to work with teams with confidence and conviction, review and provide feedback to team members.
  • Ability to define and refine workflow, procedures, and reporting
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills. Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and disseminate pertinent information efficiently.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to make sound ethical decisions
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to foster optimal relationships (Excellent communication skills, both written and oral)
  • Comfortable working directly management team.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities and work product.
