Role Overview

We are currently searching for a Staff Project Engineer to work as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) across the SP101 program. The SP101 program is an avionics program derived from the Fusion product line that is being altered to fulfill the mission of our customer. The program has a high performing team and has been consistent in delivering high quality outputs to our customer on time which builds trust and fuels the continued growth on the program.

The Release Train Engineer role is a key leadership role within the program and focuses on resolving impediments of the different scrum teams, driving predictable performance using data, and working with the engineering and program leadership team to ensure build plans align with customer needs. Having a strong background in avionics, project management, and agile development principals will enable candidates to perform well in this role. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements 

Skills sought for this role include:

  • Proven track record of executing complex programs
  • Experience in training and mentoring less experienced engineers
  • Knowledge and application experience using SAFe Agile Development methodology
  • Experience detail planning development work on complex systems
  • Experience with earned value management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leveraging data to analyze and drive team performance

Preference will be given to candidates with the following experiences / abilities:

  • Experience working systems on Pro Line Fusion architectures
  • Program or Team leadership experience
