Job Description

Your role

Flexcity is quickly expanding its activities to new asset types and is now optimizing: Wind Power, Solar Power, Batteries, Electric Vehicles, boilers etc. Flexcity is looking for a Portfolio Business Developer.

Your role is to be a Portfolio Business Developer. Within the team you are responsible to maintain and extend the portfolio of flexible assets, mainly in Brussels and Walloon region. Our assets comprise demand-side management, gas turbines or engines, batteries and renewable energy. Doing this you will be engaged with current customers, prospects and partners throughout the commercial process. In addition, you will be able to collaborate with the commercial and portfolio teams from other countries allowing you to deploy your international skills. From lead generation towards integration of the assets into the portfolio of Flexcity, you will be in charge of the entire commercial process, including maximum flexibility potential at the customer premises.

Your responsibilities

• You build a profound knowledge of your allocated customers portfolio and proactively take contact with them (contract renewal, bidding results…)
• You will be the face of Flexcity towards our customers and our partners, while maintaining continuous contacts with our Portfolio Management team
• You set up and execute our sales strategy, including the acquisition of new customers
• You offer the right products and services to your customers, in close collaboration with your colleagues of Portfolio- and Product- Management who will take care of the technical analysis. By doing this, you strive at optimising the value creation for your customers and Flexcity.
• Besides that you represent Flexcity in front of major energy consuming companies and international partners.

Qualifications

• Ability to discuss opportunities at high-level management, with plant and energy managers within a Business-to-Business environment.
• Technical interest in new technologies and passion about energy are a must.
• Strategic thinking, take initiatives to extend portfolio thanks to excellent technical knowledge.
• Experience in Customer relationship within industrial market
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• You address challenges proactively and look for value optimization for the customer and Flexcity (win-win situation).
• You are result-driven and want to achieve the next mile.
• You have strong technical skills and want to develop your commercial skills.
• You hold a master degree in engineering or linked to energy / electricity, or you have developed such knowledge by working experience.
• You are flexible, not afraid to think out of the box, keen on continuously learning new topics and you love to share your knowledge.
• You are deliverable-focused with a pragmatic and professional attitude.
