POSITION OVERVIEW

Job Title: EHS Technical Writer

Job Type: Full Time; Graveyard Shift

Location: Philippines (Remote)

We are seeking an EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) Technical Writer who will be responsible for creating and reviewing technical documentation. The document would address any EHS concerns and ensure compliance within the stakeholder’s environment. The successful candidate plays a crucial role in ensuring that our stakeholder has all accurate and up-to-date information to meet the regulatory requirements.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Create new content to meet governing platform requirements.
  • Review content within multiple formats, including LMS platforms, digital training kits, safety meetings, safety manuals, and pocket manuals.
  • Review and amend existing content while maintaining the required standard of compliance for EHS regulations.
  • Review safety manual content against multiple online auditing platforms to maintain compliance with auditing processing platforms.

Essential Duties:

  • Stay updated with the latest EHS regulations and guidelines, such as OSHA and EPA, and ensure that all technical safety documentation reflects these requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of EHS regulations and guidelines to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the content created and edited.
  • Ensure that EHS technical documentation addresses safety, compliance, and beyond at multiple levels within the stakeholders’ company environment.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to gather information and clarify technical concepts for documentation.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand the clients needs and tailor the documentation accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address their questions and concerns regarding EHS technical documentation.
  • Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and delivery of high-quality EHS documentation.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and adjust workflow as needed.
  • Perform other essential duties as needed.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing, environmental science, EHS, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the EHS field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with EHS regulations and guidelines, such as OSHA and EPA.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Adaptability and accountability.
  • Strong typing skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
