This position within the Infotainment (IVI) team works closely with Ford global cross functional teams, local cross functional teams and manufacturing plant teams to apply the latest system to vehicles developed in the IMG Region.

  • Design & Release to the aligned SET Combo plan of record to Ford IMG designed vehicles for timely integration of:
  • New Features
  • Quality Improvements
  • Interoperability updates
  • Manage IVI related BOM (Bill of Material) work streams
  • Create and own Part MAPs for Infotainment and Embedded Modem.
  • Lead/define the software part numbering for the relevant Global SET build (TT/PP/MP1/RC)
  • Ensure IVI compatibility with all other interfacing systems (e.g. Audio Head unit, Enhanced Central Gateway, Modem).
  • Use CAN / LIN / RADMoon / Oscilloscopes and other communication tools to interface and program IVI components in test benches / vehicles ensuring systems are working correctly to specification.
  • Use CANalyser Diagnostic tools to ensure diagnostic compatibility of IVI components.
  • Fluent in JIRA (Issue tracking and project management tool) to:
  • Raise / track / manage IVI issues.
  • Issue Triage / resolution / Closure.
  • Knowledge of software languages with the ability to program (CAPL scripts / C+ / C++) to create automated testing scripts.
  • Project management (program deliverables) using product development lifecycle/V Model.
  • Support release of CAD and drawings into the Ford system (2D and 3D drawings)
  • Deliver updates to assembly illustrations, workshop Illustrations, and customer user manuals.
  • Facilitate Production VoCF (Voice of Customer fleet) Issue Triage / resolution
  • Design and develop IVI (In Vehicle Infotainment) systems to meet or exceed system & vehicle attribute targets where applicable
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional and regional supporting teams (e.g. Finance, Program Management, Launch Teams, VOME – Voice of Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Lead resolution of key issues (process or design) as required in support of program delivery on time

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology or any other discipline with relevant experience.
