Aufgaben

TASKS:

• Represent the Press Shop Planning of Mercedes-Benz in the overall car project
• Manage and control carline Die project together with our partners from BBAC*: Timeline Tracking, Change management, Quality development and part release with our partners and customers
• Ensuring the application of Mercedes-Benz standards, methods and procedures for achieving efficiency targets (KPIs)
• Support and control the die manufacturing process in close cooperation with the suppliers and BBAC*
• Support for try out and pre-buyoff at the supplier for stamping dies
• Check the progress of the dies and parts quality before and during home-line integration
• Create, align and report the actual status report and escalate if necessary accordingly
• Analysis and documentation of part production process, part and die quality
• Create, align and track countermeasures to achieve the required part quality according the overall project timeline
• Cooperating and collaborating closely together with your Mercedes-Benz and BBAC* partners for ensuring joint working direction 

Additional Specification for Casting function

• Overall process knowledge about aluminum & steel casting/molding.
• Understanding and ability to improve casting processes and standards;
• Support supplier casting processes to address technical issues during the casting process
• Good experience on casting mold design, equipment selection, raw material selection, and performance verification;
• Assist the quality department in resolving relevant quality issues;
• Cooperate with supplier to inspect and supervise production in accordance with relevant standards, processes, and specifications;
• Support to advise continuously improving casting quality, reduce costs.

Qualifikationen

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• University degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering (M. Sc./Eng., B. Sc./Eng., Dipl.-Ing.)

Professional skills:

• Minimum 5 years experience in die maintenance and / or planning in Press shop and project management
• Experience with external supplier, including onsite die tracking and die maturity/quality evaluation
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• 3D CAD design software (Siemens NX, Catia, etc.) and simulation software (Autoform) for die design-Several years of experience in general project management
• Experience in intercultural environment

Personal skills:

• Good communication skills with external and internal parties
• Team player with open-minded work attitude
• Ability to adapt to new situations

Language skills:

• Fluent English and knowledge of business English,
• German would be a plus
