Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer for Motion business, you will be responsible for sales of products/systems/services within a designated market in accordance with strategy. Achieving both qualitative and quantitative sales targets in a profitable way: order growth, revenues, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction. Reporting to Sales Manager, you will be building long term customer relationships and managing resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identifying and developing sales opportunities. This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Your responsibilities

  • Selling products to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned divisions
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution
  • Performing regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls
  • Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers
  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed
  • Preparing offers in coordination with the technical sales support team

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in the electrical/mechanical/industrial engineering
  • Minimum experience 2-3 years in chemical, oil and gas or mining industry
  • Have experience in selling motor is point plus
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
