FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Evelyn Lauder Chair in Psychiatric/Mental Health Advanced Practice performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise and will collaborate with the Evelyn Lauder Associate Dean for Nurse Practitioner Programs in the successful implementation of the Evelyn Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Hunter College (https://hunter.cuny.edu/news/hunter-college-to-establish-the-evelyn-lauder-community-care-nurse-practitioner-program/). The Evelyn Lauder Chair will supervise doctoral students, increase collaborative research between the School of Nursing and our clinical partners, and promote the translation of research findings for practice though teaching and mentoring of faculty. Maintains an active program of scholarship in health equity, NP education, or related topics. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments, performing administrative, supervisory, and other functions as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

For Associate or Full Professor:

Ph.D. or other research doctoral degree in Nursing or related field with a MS in Nursing and be eligible for a tenured faculty appointment in the School of Nursing. Prefer at least 5 years of advanced practice clinical experience, preferably in health centers serving underserved communities. New York State license as a registered nurse and prefer New York State Nurse Practitioner Licensure (Psychiatric, Mental Health Nurse Practitioner). Will demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring abilities, and exemplify a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The applicant’s scholarship and academic teaching experience should align with the Programs’ mission of educating Nurse Practitioners to work effectively in underserved communities.

COMPENSATION

Salary Ranges:

Associate Professor - $117, 805- $138,562

Full Professor - $141,858 – $166,858
