Research Engineer I, Gastroenterology Research Medicine - (3277442)
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Research Engineer I will join the Traverso lab at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to support translational development of novel therapeutic technologies. The lab consists of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists and physicians focused on preclinical and translational development of drug delivery technologies that push the boundaries of medicine.
Responsibilities will include development and in vitro evaluation of drug delivery formulations (i.e., small molecule therapeutics and mRNA nanomedicines) and devices (~50% effort), and support preclinical evaluation of technologies in small and large animal models (~50% effort). The ideal candidate will have experience in working with laboratory animals, and experience in one or more of the following areas: molecular biology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, and/or biomedical engineering. This a one-year term position with the possibility of extension.
