What you'll do:

  • Identify, assess, and analyze business challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors process optimization, finance transformation, system strategy and selection, change/program management, and operations improvement
  • Opportunities to support various Business Transformation projects including (but not limited to): system strategy and selection, process or finance improvement and optimization, operations performance improvement, change management, program or project management, data analytics, business analysis
  • Assesses and escalates project issues, risks, or conflicts to leadership and suggests resolutions
  • Proactively partners with CrossCountry Consulting’s leadership team on internal projects, including but not limited to the following: sales/marketing initiatives, recruiting, training, and organizational development
  • Holds team accountable and drives change through effective project management
  • Contributes knowledge and best practices of key accounting related business processes (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financial Close, etc.) 
  • Assists with integrations and identifying efficiencies between the client’s accounting systems and other tools.
  • Assist and participate actively in developing strategic/ tactical proposals and campaigns, authoring proposals, company research and proposal production
  • Optimization of client’s use of leading close management process and tools

What you'll bring:

  • 9+ years' experience in professional services (public accounting or advisory firm), preferably at a large, global accounting firm or with a management consulting firm or related corporate experience
  • Finance or accounting background with knowledge of General Ledger and Sub-ledger concepts preferred (e.g., Chart of Accounts, Journal Entries, Intercompany transfers and allocations, AP, AR, trial balance data, General Ledger, Procurement, and Asset Management)
  • Excellent communication skills required – must develop, implement, and maintain sources of project information, communicating appropriate information to client as well as other team members
  • Demonstrated track record of establishing credibility both internally and externally
  • Passionate about building, developing, motivating, and leading others
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a “big picture” perspective
  • Creativity, confidence, and flexibility
  • High energy, tenacious, enthusiastic, and an entrepreneurial spirit

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, or other technical disciplines; Master’s degree or post graduate degree from a college or university is preferred

Travel:

  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%

For applicants located in New York, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $150,000 - $239,250 per year + annual bonus + additional benefits.
