INTERNAL DESCRIPTION: 

Marketing Manager, Brand and Communications is a strategic member of the marketing team reporting to the Vice President of Marketing. This position will be responsible for the execution of channel-specific or category-specific marketing programs to drive business growth for Finlays Americas by driving cohesive, well-rounded campaigns, promoting products, digital presence, partnerships, thought leadership, experiential marketing, and external communications, including public relations. As a communications manager you will manage the promotion of Finlays brand, products, services and mission. Responsible for creating marketing and advertising materials through a variety of means, including press releases, social media, websites, blogs, sales collateral, presentations and more. As a brand manager you will be expected to extend the reach and strength of the Finlays brand and oversee any aspect of marketing related to a company's brand, ensuring that all branding decisions ultimately result in increasing sales pipeline and revenue. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Work with the Marketing Leadership team in supporting strategic initiatives and implementing processes
  • Develop, manage and execute an annual marketing and communications plan for Finlays Extracts to span across all communication media (online and offline) and reach appropriate target audiences, based upon specific goals
  • Drive brand/company awareness, engage stakeholders, and support various company initiatives
  • Initiate research, development, and implementation of new marketing programs, including direct mail, social media marketing, conventions, workshops, advertisements, sales tools and other initiatives.
  • Manage, collaborate and negotiate with external partners and stakeholders to expand outreach in both creative work and event management
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets and journalists
  • Ensure all external and internal communications and marketing collateral conform to brand identity; conduct ongoing brand management
  • Develop and promote branding initiatives consistent with corporate business goals and objectives
  • Evaluate the success of various communication strategies and provide and implement recommendations for improvement
  • Analyze potential new products, services and modalities to enhance the marketing/communications work
  • Develop, manage and produce materials to create a cohesive image and message for print and all offline communication modalities
  • Provide strategic leadership to the brand marketing team and all other departments of Finlays
  • Set the yearly content calendar for the marketing group and actively manage the department to accomplish its goals
  • Oversee the marketing Opex budget and engage with Finance team to ensure latest view on historical spend, plans, targets, actual spend, and forecasts to manage costs and activities in accordance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experienced professional with proven analytical and leadership experience in a fast-paced environment 
  • Sharp and focused with strong capabilities to structure content
  • Strong analytical skills and the capability to track and objectively evaluate effectiveness 
  • Outstanding, confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, with demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and provide solutions
  • Excellent active listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines or with multiple projects
  • Proven ability to work with senior team members in client-facing and internal settings

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Marketing, required
  • Experience in people management, preferred.
  • Advanced capabilities in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Willingness to travel on 25% of the year
