We have a suitable opening in the L’Oreal Dermatological Beauty Division for the role of Manager – Medical Communication, based in Mumbai. You come with a relevant experience of 5-7 years in this individual contributor role.

Key Responsibilities:

The role of the Medical Communication Manager is to build and implement a medical communication strategy, tools and content in line with brand priorities to encourage prescriptions and develop the reputation of the division and the brands.

  1. Defines the multi-channel (both on- and off-line) medical strategy in line with brand strategy (product plan, services, territories etc.)
  2. Takes charge of scientific and competitor monitoring in medical areas and processes / analyzes all information (panels, competitor analysis, …)
  3. Makes up a storytelling scenario and defines key messages adapted to health professionals
  4. Adapts the content and the communication tools to the targets and different touchpoints
  5. Supervises the development / develops the content of the tools, the services (sales visit aids, information leaflets for doctors and patients, medical training programs targeting doctors, websites, mail and newsletters, video, webinars, communication material for events such as congresses…)
  6. Circulates scientific and medical expertise to other departments and trains medical representatives
  7. Implements international surveys on a local basis and puts into place local observational studies and ensures they are used. 
  8. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual strategy for the medical communication plan (both on- and off-line)
  9. Developing communication for HCP related events to promote the scientific knowledge dissemination e.g. Conferences, CMEs, RTMs etc.

Key Competencies:

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and successful track record of training, developing comm. materials and execution of planned activities.
  • Execution Management: Collaborates effectively with the medical detailing team to roll out the strategy (O+O).
  • Meticulous, highly organized, and self-directed approach to work, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing tasks in time-constrained situation.

Physical Demands (e.g. % travel):

  • Travel will be need based

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, B. Pharma/Life sciences related Plus MBA

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Brand Manager, developing HCP related medical communication materials.
  • Good experience of digital marketing skill 
  • Managed O+O (online + Offline) communication channels

Required pre-requisites skills/experience for this position: 

  1. Prior Product Manager experience in Pharmaceutical Industry
  2. Experience of developing medical communication Strategy (O+O) & materials 
  3. Good exposure of digital marketing
