ENGIE Laborelec is a research and expertise center focused on electrical power technology, with a team of over 370 employees from different background. We are part of the ENGIE Group, and more particular the newly created entity called ENGIE Research & Innovation. We support the entire electricity value chain, providing customized solutions to a diverse range of customers from various fields and industries. About the team
Our Power & Infrastructure Business Line provides high added value activities to the Global Business Units (GBUs) of ENGIE, the power generation sector, grid operators, and the industry in Europe. This covers applied research and on-the-field technical expertise.
In order to increase the activities among others related to the identification of problem root causes or design assessment within the Cluster Mechanics & Thermal Processes, Laborelec is looking for an expert with solid O&M experience in thermal power plant equipment. This experience will be among others used to provide technical assistance to the client, to find the cause of failures or damage, to perform a fit for purpose analysis or risk assessment of (cracked) components or to challenge the design of (failed) components,
Our international team of engineers is well known for its competence in complex problem solving for different components in the power energy business as well as general industry. We are also responsible for the online monitoring of more than 100 turbine shaft lines all over the world and are regularly called for on-site dedicated measurement in case of problems. Within Laborelec, we work closely together with the Materials, Non-destructive testing and Electrical expert teams.
