Prime Video (PV) is changing the way hundreds of millions of customers consume and interact with video around the world. Prime Video’s Customer Relationship Marketing Technology Team mission is to help Prime Video become the entertainment destination for global customers by delivering holistic, cross-Prime Video customer lifecycle management programs that operate across all offer types and touchpoints both inside and outside of our apps. We build, maintain, and obsess over the relationship we have with our customers, and use relevant content and offers to keep customers excited. Our vision is to make every Amazon customer engaged with Prime Video and the Amazon ecosystem across all points of their lifecycle journeys, from awareness, acquisition, onboarding and activation, engagement, retention, to win-back.

The technical program management leader will have an enormous opportunity to impact both the customer and partner experience, design, architecture, and implementation of cutting-edge products that will be used every day by tens of millions of customers world-wide.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about simple and elegant software solutions, customer-centric products, and utilizing agile development processes. You will look at problems holistically, beyond the borders of your team, and thrive on solutions that require thinking at multiple levels, from strategic to business tactical to system goals to specific interfaces. You don't shrink from the spotlight, able to coordinate cross-org meetings, field difficult questions, and create positive collaborative outcomes. You are adept at reading and writing documents for both a highly technical and an executive audience. You ensure solutions are reliable, scalable and secure, and always keep the customer's best interest in mind.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with several teams of software engineers, including their projects, performance, and career growth
  • Liaise closely withs stakeholders in Product Management, Business/Marketing, and other functions to ensure you’re building the right products and measuring their success
  • Clearly communicate project roadmaps with your team, management, and principal stakeholders and deliver from ideation to launch
  • Work with peers across teams to determine scope and estimate development effort
  • Lead systems design, architecture, and scaling discussions
  • Argue for the right outcomes with data, conviction, and diplomacy

A day in the life

As part of this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work across many groups within and outside Prime Video while delivering new features to improve the global customer experience. You will also need to frequently engage business, product and technology leaders and be a strong advocate for our customers.

The software teams you will work with are mostly located on the US west coast, but you will partner with teams across the US and UK/EU. You are ideally located near one of our large Prime Video office hubs in Seattle or LA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience working in cross functional groups including customers/users, software, digital supply chain

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
