Position Overview: 

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Store Development team with our rapidly growing store base in the role of Store Design Lead. Reporting to the Director of Store Design, our Store Design Lead will contribute to customer experience, cost savings and increased revenue by improving speed and accuracy of new store design evolutions. This specialist level position will be primarily responsible for coordinating preliminary plans and executing design changes. The position will also help build guidelines for best practices for our Architects, General Contractors, and Vendors as well as support new fixture and signage designs. The successful candidate for this role will be a passionate designer who possesses the ability to meet tight deadlines in a creative environment. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Development and management of New Store Openings, Renovations, Refreshes and Special Events, supporting the Director of Store Design with meeting all deliverables. 
  • Maintain and drive comprehensive New Store Opening presentation documents as well as maintaining their organization and creating an archival system. 
  • Serve as key working partner to the Construction Project Managers for individual projects to meet all deadlines and financial goals. 
  • Responsible for communication between internal team and key external vendors, including but not limited to Architects, Signage Vendors, and Millworkers. 
  • Support fixture and decorative development in partnership with the Director of Store Design. 
  • Coordinate and communicate across key Cross Functional Teams, including but not limited to: Regional Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations, IT, and Asset Protection. 
  • Document and catalog historical store and fixture designs. 
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. 

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in architecture, interior or industrial design. 
  • 0-2 years’ experience within related field or brand (lifestyle or luxury a plus). 
  • Strong design eye with awareness of current trends. 
  • A proven ability to execute with consistent delivery. 
  • Comfortable working with AutoCAD, 3D modeling and rendering software, and the Adobe Creative suite. 
  • Exceptional ability to listen to others and interpret their ideas and requirements into designs. 
  • Strong organization, time management and project management skills. 
  • A strong ability to build relationships with co-workers and keep others informed. 
  • A growth mindset: desire to learn, grow and embrace new ideas.
