Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Television Finance team at Nine. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be a pivotal link between Finance and our Broadcast Operations and will oversee and manage the operations departments of the Television business, as well as capital expenditure across the television Broadcast division. From month-end reporting to forecasting and budgeting, you'll ensure the financial health of your business units and will play a key role in enhancing our finance and business partnership efforts company-wide.

You will;

  • Deliver monthly reports to department heads and key stakeholders.
  • Analyse monthly expenses, ensuring budget alignment and identifying efficiency opportunities.
  • Develop precise annual departmental budgets, covering all essential costs.
  • Oversee Broadcast Operations detailed financials, managing capex budgets and forecasts with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Build strong relationships with key Broadcast Operations team members.
  • Foster a culture of improvement and collaboration within the finance team.
  • Ensure strict compliance with control frameworks and adapt to evolving standards.
  • Maintain team engagement and provide development and mentoring for your direct reports.

From a business partnering perspective, you will excel in managing internal and external relationships, supporting business partners with accurate financial insights, and effectively communicating financial analysis to senior stakeholders. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying efficiencies within the Broadcast Operations function.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (CA or CPA)
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong communication skills; clear, timely, and consistent
  • Sharp analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under deadlines
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional reconciliation skills
  • Dedication to maintaining high standards of work quality

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Television or content production Industries
  • Familiarity with Microsoft D365 and TM1 applications
