What will I be doing? 

  • Management of Hilton’s interests for all Design & Construction (D&C) aspects of selected Development Projects in China.
  • Project involvement from inception to opening. 
  • Provide leadership of those projects as the principal Hilton representative to & from owners & Project consultants.
  • Ensure internal communications & effective relationships on those projects with all other Hilton departments & specialists including Brand 

Management, F&B, Development, Supply Management, Pre-Opening, Brand Performance Support, IT & Operation.

  • Assist Hilton development to secure agreements for new hotel developments.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Brand Standards, Narratives & Attributes for selected brands in China.
  • Work effectively with clients & consultants to optimize the D&C & opening of projects.
  • Review designs at all stages of projects for conformity to Hilton Brand standards and Design & Construction guidelines and Corporate Brand 

Direction. 

  • Contribute to China-specific addenda to global Brand standards for selected Hilton brands.
  • Regular reports to management regarding projects status & issues.
  • Overview or preparation of Area Program for development team.
  • Prepare, present & participate in monthly Project Review Meetings & regular Design Reviews, periodic site reviews and reviews of mock-up guestrooms.
  • Work with Hilton Pre-Opening Team, GMs and their teams during the Pre-Opening phase.
  • Work with Hilton team and consultant for focus service brand prototype development
  • Co-ordinate with QA during pre-opening QA inspections.
  • Extensive travel within the region for projects or client meetings.

What are we looking for?

A Design & Project Manager, Greater China and Mongolia, serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Bachelor degree in Architect
  • Mandatory - Fluent English & Mandarin. – written & spoken
  • 3+ years’ experience with architectural design or project management in China. (mandatory) 
  • Working for international design office (preferable) 
  • Ability to work effectively with owners, developers, design consultants, contractors and with all Hilton departments (incl Brand Management, F&B, 

Development, Supply Management, Pre-Opening, Brand Performance Support, IT & Operation and within AD&C). 

  • Ability to review architectural drawing, interior fit-out & relevant design quickly and make constructive suggestions for improvements.
  • Positive and proactive people skills. 
  • Effective communications both written and verbal
  • Flexibility to handle changing circumstances.
  • Able to work on multiple project and review at the same time.
  • Word, CAD, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (mandatory)
