Detailed description: As the SAP FICO Lead, your mission is to lead and oversee the successful implementation and optimization of SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) modules. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of financial processes and data, while also leveraging your expertise in SAP Cash Management, Treasury Management, Multi Bank Connectivity, Advanced Financial Close, and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) 810, 824. Your scope will encompass diverse financial areas, including General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting and Profitability Analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end SAP FICO implementation and enhancement projects, including planning, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand financial requirements and translate them into effective SAP FICO solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP FICO and other relevant modules, streamlining financial processes across the organization.
- Drive the design and configuration of GL, FA, AR, AP, Product Costing, Profit Center Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis functionalities.
- Leverage your expertise in SAP Cash Management, Treasury Management, Multi Bank Connectivity, and Advanced Financial Close to optimize financial operations.
- Drive the implementation and compliance of EDI messages e.g., 810 and 824 for smooth electronic data interchange with external partners.
- Work with Signavio for process documentation and optimization and collaborate with Tricentis for testing and test automation.
- Mentor and provide guidance to the FICO team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Key Experience Required:
- Minimum of 10-12 years of overall experience in SAP FICO, with a strong focus on Financial Accounting and Controlling.
- Extensive experience in implementing and configuring SAP FICO modules, including GL, FA, AR, AP, Product Costing, Profit Center Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis.
- Proficiency in SAP Cash Management, Treasury Management, and Multi Bank Connectivity solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Advanced Financial Close functionalities.
- Hands-on experience with EDI e.g., 810 and 824 for electronic data interchange.
- Experience of working with Signavio for process documentation and optimization, and Tricentis for testing and test automation.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and best practices, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering SAP FICO projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Technical and Functional Competencies:
- Expertise in SAP FICO modules, including configuration and customization.
- Proficiency in SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) to manage treasury functions effectively.
- Knowledge of SAP New Asset Accounting (S/4HANA) and ability to handle fixed assets accounting and depreciation.
- Familiarity with SAP Material Ledger for product costing and material valuation.
- Experience with SAP Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) to analyze profitability at various levels.
- Understanding of SAP Cost Center Accounting and its integration with other SAP modules.
- Proficiency in SAP Bank Communication Management (BCM) for Multi Bank Connectivity and cash management.
- Knowledge of SAP Advanced Financial Close (AFC) for financial consolidation and reporting.
- Experience with SAP Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) for bank reconciliation and cash management.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP certifications in Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) is desirable
- Additional certifications in finance and accounting, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), can be beneficial.
