Your responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to fulfill the job as summarised below, but not limited to:

• Specification and design of pressure containing equipment
• Preparation of project standards, engineering and technical specifications
• Participating in PFD, P&ID and HAZOP studies
• Assistance in the preparation of MCFDs
• Selection of vendors on technical basis
• Review of Vendor Documentation to ensure design integrity and compliance with specifications and statutory regulations, codes and standards
• Supervision of fabrication and erection on site

Your profile

• BSc Mechanical Engineering Degree / B Tech Degree. Must be registered with the Engineering Council of SA (ECSA) or be in the process of registration.
• 7 - 15 years specific C&I design experience with min 6 years in the Oil & Gas environment.

Knowledge of the following international design codes and standards is mandatory:

• ASME VIII Division 1
• ASME Section II Parts A, B and D
• ASME B16.5 and B16.47
• ASME IX
• TEMA
• ASME B31.3
• API 650 and API 620
• Knowledge of the following international design codes will be an advantage:
• PD5500
• AD Merkblätter
• DIN/EN material specifications and certification
