Your next role as a Miracle Maker

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Manufacturing team as a Senior Manufacturing Associate. As a Senior Manufacturing Associate you will produce research and clinical grade components and products by setting up, cleaning, operating, and maintaining equipment; performing wet chemistry reactions; utilizing pilot grade purification systems, authoring and implementing SOPs, and documenting actions in batch records. You must document all actions using Good Documentation Practices. This role is the subject matter expert and provides leadership/mentoring/training in the laboratory.

How you will make an impact:

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment.
  • Keeps equipment operating by following SOPs or work instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requesting service when needed
  • Identifies bottlenecks/process deficiencies; designs and executes projects for improvements
  • Troubleshoots and provides technical assistance with problematic constructs 
  • Documents work by accurately completing forms, reports, logs, and records of equipment and batches following good documentation practices (GDP)
  • Collects, records and analyzes data
  • Interprets data analysis results and draws inferences and conclusions
  • Plans, develops, organizes, writes and edits operational procedures and GMP batch records
  • Performs projects based on process improvements and scale up
  • Performs characterization assays centered around developmental improvements
  • Onboards and authors procedures for new equipment and procedures
  • Transfers developmental improvements to manufacturing team through training/technical transfer
  • Oversees training of new processes for manufacturing staff

The skills and experience that you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in life science field or related field preferably in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology/Molecular Biology or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a Biochemistry manufacturing laboratory (oligonucleotide synthesis preferred) 
  • Exposure in a cGMP/ ISO 7/ ISO 8 clean room environment desired
  • Experience with drafting, editing, implementing, and executing SOPs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite desired
  • Display strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and demonstrated problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The anticipated salary range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00 per hour. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
