The role of the Indirect Senior Buyer – IT&D is to develop category strategies that drive cost savings, spend under management and strategic alignment with stakeholders for IT&D with combined spend of over £50 million. They will be primarily responsible for supporting the Finance and HR Technology function. This role will focus on the full spectrum of IT&D Procurement across Hardware, Software and IT&D Services. The individual will be required to understand the SAP technology landscape as well as utilizing spend analytics, sourcing management processes and tools to develop category strategies, rationalize and select suppliers, manage key supplier relationships, as well as negotiate contract pricing, terms, and conditions, assess continuity of business. Additionally, the Indirect Senior Buyer – IT&D will create category efficiencies that align with procurement processes and policies, while managing internal stakeholder engagement and customer service over multiple business segments.
You’ll succeed because…
…You have Category Management expertise, within IT&D Procurement, ideally with exposure across cost management across the following: Hardware, Software, Services and Telecoms. You're degree qualified preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Business or other relevant discipline. Having a certification by purchasing and supply chain professional bodies, such as the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) or the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is desirable or working towards qualification. You have the ability to work in a truly global organisation and have proven experience in working in a fast moving and result driven environment which demands to work under pressure. You've got a high degree of fluency of English is required for negotiations and internal communications. Knowledge of other languages is a plus. You have unsurpassed negotiation techniques with exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills. You have experience in leading a category of spend as well as lead a procurement process in the IT&D function as well as experience of managing senior stakeholder (IT&D Leadership level). You have the experience and passion to be working in a technology procurement role is expected, other functional experience, particularly in IT&D, is highly desirable and beneficial. Experience in developing effective technology procurement strategies that have had high impact. You've got legal experience, with a background in technology contracts as well as volume novation or contract remediation work and familiarity with transfer rights, rights to use, license compliancy MSA and software agreement commercial drafting experience.
