We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Flight Control electromechanical actuator development team in our Brno office.

You will participate in development of actuation systems (electromechanical actuators and controllers) and you will encompass the complete product design and development life cycle including, system concept development, design, build, qualification, flight test support and certification.

You will cooperate closely with global Honeywell resources and external suppliers to define and align product designs with customer’s system requirements. 

Systems Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of Electro-Mechanical Flight Control Actuation Systems
  • Participating in Actuation system level architectural decisions, defining, evaluating trade studies justifying architectural decisions
  • Being engaged in communication for external and internal customers regarding technical specification
  • Actuation system level requirement specification and requirement management.
  • Equipment level specifications (Actuators & Control units)

Key Experience&Capabilities:

  • University degree in relevant technical field – Aerospace, Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics Electronics engineering
  • At least 3 years industry experience as systems engineer – aerospace will be a big advantage
  • Experience in the capturing and definition and subsequent detailing of requirements.
  • English on advanced level
  • Strong focus on detail and precise formulation (for requirements management)
  • Effective communication skills to provide clear direction to team members and to effectively communicate technical problems/tasks
  • Self-motivated, able to work with limited supervision, consistently taking the initiative to get things done, doing things before being asked by others or forced to by events
  • Able to create technical documentation, such as System Description, System & Component Qualification Test Plans and
  • Procedures, System & Component Qualification Test Reports etc.

  • Experience with definition and validation and verification of technical requirements
  • Awareness of aerospace standards and guidelines (DO-160, ARP-4754, ARP4761, etc.)
  • The use of suitable requirement’s capture software would be useful (DOORS)
  • Strong technical background in relevant fields – Engineering Mechanics Control Systems
  • Strong background and experience of engineering practices
