Job Description Details

The Marketing Manager, Brand Content you will be responsible for envisioning, optimizing, and executing on the content strategy for the Zulily blog, app content feed, and Influencer channel. As the gatekeeper for brand storytelling—that of our own brand, as well as our partner brands—you play a key role in bringing our mission and value props to life. This role will spearhead the development of Zulily’s influencer strategy from design through to execution, and the optimization and management of the top-of-funnel influencer activations. Nurturing existing lines of business with relevant key digital channels (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube) while exploring new channels all with the goal of optimizing and future-proofing an overall influencer strategy. 

What you'll do:

  • Partner with Creative and Brand Marketing leads to concept, develop, and execute best-in-class content that enhances Zulily’s positioning
  • Act as a Brand Marketing departmental partner for Business Development and Merchandising to create content that drives engagement, increases sales conversions, and supports partnerships with our affiliates and brand partners Managing relevant influencers on a variety of social media platforms
  • Developing Zulily benchmarks for followers/engagement for site/blog, app and social.
  • Identifying, building and nurturing long-term relationships with potential partners and relevant influencer partners
  • Identifying which partner brand(s) are the best potential fit with various influencers
  • Partnering with digital team on measurement, tracking, and reporting of revenue streams
  • Managing a significant budget and ensuring we stay within Zu goals by brand and time period
  • Partner with SEO and affiliate to improve and optimize our content strategy, and partner with our Performance Marketing team to leverage our most effective content for acquisition.
  • Refine and apply the Zulily brand voice in owned channels that drive engagement, build trust, and inspire brand loyalty.
  • Bring a strategic POV and marketing mindset to editorial strategy for our blog, app, and YouTube
  • Directly manage brand specialists focusing on the execution of social marketing campaigns/projects.

Qualifications:

  • 8 + years’ experience in social media marketing, influencer marketing, digital content management or similar
  • Required BA/BA degree in related field
  • Data and performance driven skills, ability to demonstrate ability to synthesize data from campaigns
  • Experience building a new program from the group up within influencer marketing
  • Aptitude to thrive a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to develop and optimize content strategy
  • Solid understanding of SEO best practice and strategies
  • Impeccable copy-editing and proofreading skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Team management experience and coaching skills
