Who Are We?

We are DCX, the Device and Customer Service Design Team, our team is embedded in the Chief Technology Office, the innovation engine for Motorola Solutions. We are user-centered and outcome-driven, identifying pain points and creating solutions discovered and verified in a user centered, research driven approach. This requires high frequency engagement with our customers. The design team includes Interaction Designers, UI/Visual Designers, UX Designers, Industrial Designers, and User Experience & Human Factors Researchers. We work closely with our development partners to deliver market leading and innovative end-to-end solutions.

Job Description

ABOUT YOU

You should possess a balanced toolkit of research, interaction design, service and ecosystem design, and the ability to convey these solutions with proven prototyping capabilities. You are an advocate of user-centered-design principles, with a natural curiosity to understand people, and how they interact with products. You’re a system-thinker and are passionate about furthering our Design System while leveraging it to ensure consistency across the product suite. You are a team player who enjoys working and brainstorming with other designers, programmers, and managers.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UX Design, preferably at a company focused on designing and delivering Device and Software solutions.
  • You have a sound knowledge of Service Design, Customer Journey Mapping, and experience working with different customer touchpoints
  • You have a passion and knowledge for solving problems, customer touch points, user experience analysis and conceptual design
  • You have experience working with complex ecosystems at a system level.
  • You can partner with Product Managers, engineers, and developers to define product strategy, requirements, priorities, and schedule
  • You can collaborate with other designers to review concepts, evolve processes, and ensure unity across the company
  • You pay almost fanatically close attention to every detail
  • You are proficient in Figma, and experienced in managing Figma based Design Library (we use Figma for daily design work)
  • You have a strong understanding of design principles and user centered design best practices
  • You are a great team player and have strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • You have an exceptional portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to design and maintain high quality of delivery with user centered design problem solving mindset

Basic Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UX and Service Design
  • Candidate must have at least a Bachelors Degree in relevant field.
  • Experience in working and collaborating with stakeholders
  • Proficient in Figma Tool
  • Experienced in Adobe Suite
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Teamplayer, experienced in working in a collaborative culture
  • Experienced in collaborating with Engineers, Developers, and Product Managers
  • Multitasking, solid priority and time management, work under pressure, detail oriented
  • Adaptive to diverse culture and work environment
  • Comprehensive Portfolio of Work
  • Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia
