About the role

Our Information Security Compliance Group is looking for an Associate Director - Cloud IAM Security Architect to enhance our team's capabilities in securing our cloud environments. This role will focus on the intersection of cloud architecture and identity & access management, ensuring robust, secure IAM practices are integrated into our public cloud and on-premise hosting environments in alignment with defined policies and industry standards.

The successful candidate will be a good communicator with deep technical expertise in Cloud Technology, Security Methodology, IAM, and, most importantly, a pragmatist who can think creatively. The individual must be highly collaborative as they will have an opportunity to influence functional leadership, project and application managers, other architects, engineers and developers towards best IAM security practices.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain security roadmaps focusing on IAM within cloud environments, collaborating with other security domain architects for technology and service alignment.
  • Lead the evaluation of new IAM technologies/products/solutions for Public Cloud technologies, providing thought leadership in identifying specific IAM security standards.
  • Engage in hands-on engineering work, driving IAM product/solution Proof of Concept alongside security architects/engineers.
  • Identify and lead the development of new IAM security design patterns and participate in our Security Technical Design Authority.
  • Drive and define required Threat Modeling methodologies & related tools, with a focus on IAM for Cloud hosting environments.
  • Serve as our in-house expert on Cloud IAM security topics, identifying major IAM-related security deficiencies and designing pragmatic remediation strategies at scale.
  • Report on the cloud IAM security posture status across the company periodically, maintaining a clear risk acceptance/remediation level.

Role Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 8+ years of relevant professional IT experience, with a strong foundation in IT infrastructure technology, systems, and management processes in a regulated industry.
  • 4+ years of experience as an Information Security Architect, with a significant focus on IAM.
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS or Azure, particularly with IAM security architecture (IaaS/PaaS).
  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps models, focusing on integrating IAM security practices.
  • Experience in sourcing complex IT services, working closely with vendors and leveraging their capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain successful relationships with senior leaders across various functions and manage projects in a matrixed environment.
  • Proficiency in English (written & oral).

Nice to Have:

  • 5+ years of experience working in or providing IT services to a large enterprise, with a focus on IAM.
  • Relevant Security-related certifications: Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ISO 27001 Lead Implementer
  • Relevant Technology-related certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
