Head of Business Development, SPL COG

This critical role will be responsible for driving global growth within Specialty Personal Lines, part of International Personal Lines business. As the Head of Business Development you will:

  • Develop a global business development strategy that delivers the short, medium and long term new business growth targets for the SPL business
  • While the role will have no direct reports, it will work closely and support the in-country business development functions 
  • The roles geography includes EMEA, APAC and LATAM. The majority of SPL’s business is within EMEA so the initial focus of the role will be in EMEA.
  • Responsible for building a robust pipeline of quality opportunities within target industry verticals
  • Leverage existing contacts as well as ability to make new connections with ‘C level’ decisionmakers within target verticals and distribution partners
  • Have a high level of commercial acumen
  • Scan the market in order to understand activities of our competitors and target verticals in order to identify threats and opportunities
  • Utilise Hubspot as Chubbs business development CRM system
  • Actively raise the profile of Chubb and SPL products within target verticals through a range of activities including attending key events, LinkedIn etc.
  • Work closely and in co-operation with Chubb country teams in order to develop joint business development plans
  • Strong commercial experience in a business development/sales role. 
  • Communication skills: ability to engage senior decisionmakers and influence. Articulate and confident in a meeting environment.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills along with the ability to plan organize and prioritized, work independently 
  • This experience could come from: Mobile Networks, Automotive, Financial Services. 
  • Experience of mobile phone insurance or extended warranty a bonus
