What is the opportunity? 

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team, within the Managed Funds Administration business of SS&C, responsible for our investment management and fund administration front ends, used primarily by investors and financial advisers. 

This is a key role in enabling the successful execution of our strategy to become an industry-leading Fund Administration service in Thailand. 

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for driving user research, analyzing, understanding, and documenting feature requirements to effectively communicate with engineering teams and other stakeholders. You will be required to clearly document and communicate complex requirements, solutions, and processes, and facilitate workshops on a broad range of topics including initiative discovery and process improvement. SS&C is a global company and as such, you will also be expected to collaborate with colleagues in different time zones. 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Understanding and effectively communicating product requirements to engineering team and other stakeholders 
  • Creating, maintaining and updating detailed documentation as required as well as workflows and user stories for our products 
  • Gaining a detailed knowledge of the end-to-end technology domain and how it relates to business operations 
  • Assisting in identifying product and process weaknesses and possible refinements in an environment of continual evolution and improvement 
  • Being involved in organising/facilitating sessions with the team that are focused on using metrics to drive improvements 
  • Ensure customer value is delivered frequently and appropriate measures are in place 
  • Keep up to date with organisational delivery frameworks and approaches 
  • As required, leading regular stand ups, retrospective discussions and delivery planning sessions 
  • Where required, as part of a cross functional team, quality assurance through development of test plans and execution of those plans 
  • Contributes positively to the team, provides relevant and appropriate inputs to enable effective team outcomes to be delivered. 
  • Ensures any key person risk is minimised by working with others, appropriately documenting 
  • Effectively manages work, whether assigned or taken. Ensures dependencies, issues or risks on other teams are known and owns remediation of such.

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, both technical and non-technical 
  • 3-5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst 
  • Experience in developing mock-ups or other artifacts to help stakeholders understand proposed solutions 
  • Ability to critically evaluate and improve processes 
  • Experience in collaborative delivery, working in co-located or remote team structures where English is the primary language 
  • Ability to meet timeframes and deadlines 
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to solve complex problems 
  • Experience in Agile ways of working and result-oriented culture 
  • Take personal ownership of work and be able to work autonomously 
  • Experience in financial services sector is preferred 
  • Experience working within a team, working on a single software product or component 
  • Considers commercial aspects of decisions across teams and when making or participating in design or implementation decisions. 
  • Good knowledge background of Mutual fund will be an advantages.
