In the role of Lead, Business Domain Risk, Security & Compliance, you'll tackle complex challenges as you develop and diversify your professional experiences while helping others grow and develop their skills.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Driving innovation and automation in the way we manage our compliance processes and programs within Information Research. Continuously looking for opportunities to streamline and simplify the complex to advance the delivery of our services for the domains we support. 
  • Information Research compliance oversight and continuation of risk reduction across the organization.
  • Interpretation and communication of systems compliance regulations within all IR domains and provides guidance to the teams in the execution of compliance activities and defines appropriate ways of partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Supports in developing, implementing, and monitoring processes and systems to drive compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring the RiSC compliance leads are working efficiently and effectively cross-functionally with the domains they support while monitoring and tracking for recommendations and process improvements. Escalation point for all the IR RiSC compliance and program activities ensuring the leads and domains are supported.
  • Ensuring we appropriately align our compliance leads to drive operational efficiencies in how we support our domains goals and objectives, so they are enabled to deliver compliant quality systems to the R&D business stakeholders.
  • Conducting periodic risk assessments across our programs with the respective leads to devise a plan on how we will continuously improve our risk and compliance posture in Information Research.
  • Establishing a streamlined approach to how we accurately capture and record all project financials (Functional, Project Capex and Opex), ensuring transparency and accountability tracking ensuring we are on-target with plans versus actuals. Ensuring proactive and proper communication for leadership to stay well informed of our financial health.
  • Overseeing RiSC Compliance Dashboards ensuring compliance leads are capturing the data to drive KPIs and metrics for our stakeholders to support data driven decision making and for leadership reporting. Strategizes and develops new Compliance KPIs and continuous improvement solutions for activities noted for improvement opportunity.
  • Driving continuous improvement by developing and proposing solutions to ensure on-going compliance with industry rules and regulations (internal & external) which are critical to organization success and impact achievement of business area objectives. 
  • Partnering with other BTS Compliance Leads for knowledge sharing and cross-functional partnerships and collaborations for efficiency gains and synergies where there are commonalities in our services and programs.
  • Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with all levels in BTS, business functions and with external partners. Acts as a liaison and BTS Compliance SME to assure successful implementations and resolves issues to ensure business continuity. Ensures domains are trained on system lifecycle and compliance processes. Serves as a source of information on the BTS Compliance needs and regulatory environment.

Qualifications

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:

Required: 

  • Bachelor's with +9 years; Master's with +8 years; PhD with +4 years of experience.
  • 9+ years of experience in a quality systems environment and compliance, or equivalent combined work experience.
  • Experience in compliance strategy, planning and implementation.
  • 8+ years of project management experience; ability to prioritize and multi-task work activities.
  • Demonstrative experience in and understanding of Information Technology (IT) environment.
  • Excellent analytical, judgment, consultative capabilities, and communication skills; ability to work with BTS management and staff.
  • Executive presence and ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to drive outstanding performance and gain commitment through developing, coaching, motivating, energizing, and inspiring team members.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to develop executive level presentations with minimal oversight.
  • Strong background in risk management, be able to think critically and strategically.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to detect, assess and develop solutions as needed for complex BTS topics .
