The NPI Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the readiness, execution, and delivery of all NPI xVT builds to support hardware products for Meta Data Centers. This function requires strong understanding of the NPI product release process, principles and practices of purchasing and cost negotiation, all-encompassing commercial management, materials requirements planning, and the ability to work under minimum supervision. In this role, the candidate will partner closely with Sourcing Managers, Manufacturing Quality Engineers, Technical Program Managers, and Hardware Engineering product teams to align commodity and sourcing strategies with product requirements, support TCO analysis, initiate tasks for purchase request, interface with suppliers on build and ship plans, draft statements of work and support BOM accuracy activities, amongst other responsibilities as outlined.

NPI Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between ODM and Meta teams monitoring, managing and driving the ODM to assure build goals/schedule is being met
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and manage product BOM and cost
  • Alignment of NPI BOMs to AVL, commodity technologies and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure contract fidelity and coverage for new technology development
  • Complete TCO analysis to ensure project cost are meeting or beating cost objectives
  • Engage with partners to drive budget management
  • Communicate forecast and verify fulfillment from a materials perspective
  • Propose and execute solutions to eliminate shortages impacting build and ship schedules
  • Interactions involve strategic and tactical procurement activities in a global environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in activities around RFQ package creation, source selection, specification creation, cost analysis, and price negotiation with appropriate team members
  • 10+ years of supply chain/materials experience in NPI environment
  • Knowledge of EMS/ODM/JDM/OEM business models, consignment & turnkey materials management, cost modeling, supply chain design, and reverse logistics
  • Demonstrated experience driving a plan to bring resolution to differing opinions, reaching out across functional boundaries to drive collaboration and sharing credit in a team environment
  • Experience using Oracle BOM management tools
  • Experience sourcing and managing global (Asia, EU, LATAM) suppliers and manufacturing partners
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain or 8+ equivalent years of experience
  • Experience and knowledge with hardware design
  • Experience with NPI programs and dealing with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience executing commercial sourcing agreements
  • Experience with enterprise and/or networking hardware
  • Masters Degree in a technical or business related field
