Business Development Representative (Virtual)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Virtual Business Development Representative with Department of Defense (DoD) experience preferably across the Army market. In this position you will be responsible for Business Development, Capture, and Proposal activities in line with the Business Development Lifecycle. Our growth does not come from ever increasing virtual extraction via advertisements or screen time or tolls. Rather, our business grows from providing more valuable tools that solve urgent problems for our DoD customers. Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of market strategic planning using in-depth knowledge of the DoD/Army customer needs, Tapestry products, services, processes, and operations to support customer commitments, competitive advantage to foster business growth.
  • Knowledge of the DoD budgeting process.
  • Lead cross functional teams across the company in the daily execution of this role.
  • Craft and execute all aspects of Business Development pursuits across the BD Lifecycle.
  • Develop pursuit and capture plans which both advocate for customer requirements and sell the business case to management.
  • Develop win strategies that align to the customer’s most important requirements, differentiates our offer across the DoD market and drives Long Range Business Plans (LRBP).
  • Forge partnerships/alliances with other companies.
  • Analyze competitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Effectively communicate within and outside the company at all levels.
  • Coordinate across multiple organizations throughout the Boeing enterprise
  • Travel up to approximately 25% of the time domestically

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years working with the US Department of Defense Customer, preferably within the Army market.
  • A working knowledge of the government acquisition process.
  • A working knowledge of the DoD Strategic Planning process.
  • 5+ years communicating with US Government representatives at all levels, including General Officers and Senior Executive Service members.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years working with the US Department of Defense customer.
  • Shipley Business Development or Capture training, PMP, and/or DAU certification in Business, Program Management, or Logistics.
  • Experience working DoD Aviation Modernization or DoD Aviation Logistics programs.
  • Graduate of a DoD War College, or Senior Military Training course.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor’s) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master’s and typically 12 or more years’ related work experience.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations. Summary base pay range $145,000 - $160,000
