As Tax Senior Assocaite, you will use your expertise in taxation to provide compliance and consulting services to corporations. Candidates must be familiar with the tax compliance, consulting process and possess the analytical skills necessary for the effective diagnosis, development, and implementation of solutions to clients' tax needs. You will have the opportunity to develop and pursue creative approaches to resolve client issues.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for completion of state tax compliance for pass-through entities (Asset Management/Investment Fund clients).
• Review state tax work papers and state tax returns.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop staff.
• Oversee detailed review of extensions, estimated payments, withholding and composite tax calculations and associated state filings
• Coordinate with RSM US and USI engagement teams in getting the assigned work done.
• Research and resolve technical state and local tax issues.
• Manage resource requirements, project workflow and budgets.
• Prepare/review state matrices and other client deliverables.
• Coach and develop staffs including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (preferably B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance) from an accredited college/university. CPA or EA is an added advantage.
• 4+ years of US state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Able to manage multiple engagements.
• US tax compliance experience/background required.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
