Your challenge

Your responsibilities:

Work across the organization playing a leading role in defining applicable acoustic safety testing solutions for mass production state-of-the-art ultrasound transducer products. Lead development and sustaining efforts for such systems. Provide engineering support for ongoing production, new product introductions (NPI) and sustaining changes.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to define effective acoustic safety test strategies for high volume ultrasound products.
  • Develop and deploy acoustic safety test solutions to the manufacturing floor.
  • Leadership for supporting personnel such as operators and technicians.
  • Collaborate effectively with manufacturing leadership and engineering personnel.
  • Integration of test solutions with manufacturing software infrastructure.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance according to Philips Healthcare quality systems.

Your team

Together with the process engineering team, develop the tools and systems that take highly complex product designs from the Ultrasound R&D department to the manufacturing floor. The team interacts with local, national and international teams to support a wide range of ultrasound products.

The fast paced environment places emphasis on a first time right approach, as such in-depth knowledge of product design, test solution design and regulatory compliance is expected.

We are looking for

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in applicable Engineering or Science discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Acoustic Testing, ideally including experience in underwater acoustic test methods, two-way tests, hydrophone-based tests, force balance tests, and system-level transducer functional testing
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical device or Mil/Aero.
  • Extensive experience with statistical techniques and process analytics.
  • Proven problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and work independently.

  • Analog or digital hardware.
  • LabVIEW, C#, C++, C software coding.
  • Minitab
  • Business Objects
  • SQL databases.
  • MES
