Netflix has flagged the Senior Software Engineer - Edge Developer Experience job as unavailable. Let’s keep looking.

Netflix has revolutionized the global entertainment industry and continues to change the way people enjoy their favorite shows and movies. We serve billions of viewing hours every month to more than 250 million member households globally, across thousands of different devices.

We are the UI DevEx team, and we are champions for UI Engineers at Netflix. Our mission is to advance the productivity of UI teams working on browser-based front end applications, services, and libraries. We empower them to focus on innovation and business value by abstracting away the complexities of the Netflix ecosystem. As part of the JavaScript Platform group, we are responsible for shepherding and curating the JavaScript Ecosystem at Netflix.

Developer experience runs in our DNA and influences every facet of our work. We build tools, workflows, and solutions to make it possible for teams to focus on building great web UIs and applications. We do this through a design system, a dynamic client-side module system, testing infrastructure and automation, and more. For 2024 and beyond, our scope expands further into the client-side world, covering potentially complex topics like framework selection, asset bundling, performance, and observability.

Our technologies are used by hundreds of engineers, from internal tooling teams, to content production teams, to streaming experience teams. We engage with our users throughout the entire software development experience, seeking to deeply understand their requirements so we can distill them into scalable solutions that are easy and enjoyable to use. Collaboration is core to our identity, and developer happiness is our North Star.

The team anchors on the human-facing elements of technology. These elements are emphasized in our Culture Memo and are applied to our day-to-day work. Code is just a small slice of this team's impact.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and guide the future of JavaScript at Netflix for years to come.
