The position

As analytical scientist you will assist the laboratories with the implementation of new analytical methods in close collaboration with the lab technicians in the team. Furthermore, you will validate these methods for analyses of trial products for clinical phase 1, 2 and 3 trials.

You will support our lab technicians in their daily tasks, and you will be in close dialogue with our development team, the different Stakeholder, and the Quality Assurance (QA) department. You will be responsible for the validation of analytical techniques such as HPLC/UHPLC, CE-SDS and cIEF and will be part of the implementation of new solutions in the lab.

Qualifications

  • You hold a master’s degree or PhD in Science Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or similar
  • You have solid experience within the pharmaceutical industry subject to GMP, and HPLC or secondly analytical techniques such as CE-SDS, cIEF, pH, UV-Vis and Visual Appearance
  • Preferable you have experience within validation and standardisation of analytical methods, as well as with qualification of equipment, deviation handling, change control and laboratory investigations
  • You like stakeholder management and daily collaboration with the lab technicians as the scientific go-to person
  • You are good at creating an overview and prioritizing your tasks, even when deadline approaches. You are self-driven and self-motivated and take pride in taking on responsibility

About the department

The Department CMC Analytical Development is part of CMC Development & Scaling in Novo Nordisk A/S. The department is responsible for developing analytical methods, including validation, and delivering analytical results – thereby acting as the link between the research unit and the product supply unit, all the way from early development to phase 3 clinical trials.

We are organised into three highly skilled teams with a total of 75 employees: one team develops our analytical methods, and two teams use these methods to analyse drug product (DP) and drug substance (DS/API) samples in tight collaboration. The vacant position is as an Analytical Scientist in the DP analysis team. You will join a great team of dedicated colleagues in a fast-paced working environment, where we know that colleagues are waiting for our results.
