This is a hybrid role based out of Middle River, MD. You’re a high performing SAP EWM Leader who is a strategic thinker, understanding the importance of connecting different process areas together, and can collaborate with both business and IT stakeholders. You have experience leading a team of technical ERP experts who partner with business-systems analyst, IT business partners, and other teams to design, build, test and implement ERP solutions that enable the company to execute its strategy.

What YOU will do: 

The Senior SAP S/4HANA EWM Lead will be part of the ST Engineering North America (STENA) IT Group reporting to STENA Sr. Director IT. This role will support Middle River Aerostructure Systems business unit of the STENA organization.

The primary responsibility will be to leverage his/her deep understanding of the core processes to ensure that the SAP platform is architected, built with fit to standard approach and integrated with other applications to support corporate roadmap for customer, employee, and enterprise product domains. This individual will deliver best-in-class capabilities through planning, platform design, leading development teams and participate in release control to realize the business processes. Core functions are Extended Warehouse Management, Material Management, Master Data Management, Order to Cash, Work Scheduling, Procure to Pay, Production Planning and other core SAP functional area.

This role will also serve as the strategic interface with STE executive team and key stakeholders across MRAS for the purpose of alignment of business and IT strategy, service management, risk management and relationship management. In this role you will be seen as a “trusted advisor,” and the primary SAP point of contact to business line executives and managers.

  • Responsible of overall SAP solution for the business as a leader
  • Responsible for complete configuration of a solution for an entire business function or process.
  • Leads the design and development for whole business processes and/or functions on approved projects and on enhancements to existing projects.
  • Identifies impact to business resulting from newly configured or improved business functionalities and identifies methods for addressing business change impacts.
  • Prepares System Requirement Documents, functional specifications, and test and user documentation.
  • Prepares status reports to update leadership on day-to-day activities and statuses. Executes quarterly audits and participates in internal and external audits.
  • Responsible for maintaining SOX controls in application security design and administration, including building roles, module and data permissions, and assigning roles to privileged users.
  • Displays the highest level of critical thinking and analysis in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-departmental problems.
  • Makes prompt, sound decisions when faced with complex and often contradictory alternatives that result in successful outcomes.
  • Develops or engages/directs others in developing innovative solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems; cross-departmental considerations are often present.
  • May require travel of up to 20%

What YOU need to be successful: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7-9+ years in SAP with heavy focus in SAP EWM, MM, MM-Purchasing, WM, and SCM
  • 2+ in S/4 HANA with prior experience in ECC, delivery, implementation, configuration
  • Strong business process and other SAP module (PP,SD,QM,PLM,PS,CS) integration knowledge as a leader.
  • Extended Warehouse Management, HUM, SUM, Inventory Management, MRP
  • Inbound/Outbound, EDI, IDOC's
  • Any exposure to GTS, Foreign Trade, Global Mfg, Automotive is a bonus (not required)

Managerial Experience

  • Periodic responsibilities as a sub project or work stream leader
