As a senior designer on the Dynamics 365 Sales team, you will have a strong influence within the studio as we continue to mature and operationalize the design practice. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners - continually advocating for our users and delivering expertly crafted user experiences to market. In addition to “shipping” features, you will help define overall product vision and, as your expertise with Dynamics grows, you will increasingly be given ownership over major areas of investment and the autonomy to drive design innovation. Some of your responsibilities will include: 

  • Create and present design solutions and strategies that bring the user story to life for a wide audience. 
  • Sets criteria across the project to prioritize and scope objectives to meet quality expectations. 
  • Ensure the layout, composition, and information architecture for products and product features to ensure underlying functionality is exposed clearly and consistently. 
  • Collaborate with PM and Dev to deliver high quality products. 
  • Integrate and provide feedback to other design disciplines on the team. 
  • Deliver interactions and flows that embrace or extend existing Microsoft Fluent design patterns. 
  • Identify and articulate innovative design patterns suitable across multiple products. 
  • Document design decisions for use by the broader design studio team and key partner teams. 
  • Bachelor's degree in design (e.g., user experience, HCI (human-computer interaction), graphic) or equivalent professional experience 
  • 5+ years of industry experience in UX design 
  • Customer obsessed. Constantly looking for opportunities to refine user experience in response to customer insight. 
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional team (PM, Dev, User Research, Data Science, etc.) to deliver well crafted, innovative user experiences. 
  • Unrelenting passion for detailed craftsmanship in all phases of product development, and ability to set your team’s quality bar with accurate diagrams, wireframes, and other design artifacts. 
  • Ability to deliver success through moments of ambiguity. Can help the team make progress even when communication slows. 
  • Experience delivering high-quality user experience in an agile product development cycle. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present your work to peers across disciplines. 
  • Fluent in current interaction design tools (Figma, Adobe CC, etc.) 

Bonus

  • Experience with agile teams and supporting design operations. 
  • Experience producing functional prototypes, motion studies, and interface models. 
  • Experience designing for enterprise products.  
  • Experience building, refining, or improving design systems at scale.  

Portfolio: 

A portfolio review presentation is required to interview for this role. Your presentation should cover design solution(s), your creative leadership, and the application of a user-centered design process and highlight your storyteller skills.
