Director/ Team Lead - Sales

Director, Sales role at 500px is a unique opportunity for someone with great full cycle enterprise sales experience, and a proven track record of leading successful sales teams, to marry their passion of sales and business development with their creative side. 500px is a creative company, and we work with the most creative clients in the world, it’s imperative that our sales team speak this language right from the top down.

500px is in growth phase, we have seen tremendous traction in our new custom photography offering and we’re looking for someone who can mold our successful, scrappy, agile team into a finely tuned machine at scale.

The person who will ultimately join our amazing team will have the following skills:

Lead & Inspire a Team:

  • Ability to manage teams in all phases of the sales cycle from SDR/BDR through to ongoing account management
  • Act as an account executive in a player/coach role as we ramp up this team
  • Command a room of energetic, highly competitive extroverts motivated by sales commissions
  • Structure compensation packages that incent the outcomes the business desires at both the individual and team level
  • Act as an expert in sales situations, provide feedback and consultation to the sales team wherever needed throughout the enterprise sales cycle and understand the nuances of sales process in the geographical markets and verticals 500px operates 

Devise Winning Sales Strategies:

  • Develop and refine our sales pitch and sales collateral
  • Test and iterate on process and pitching to ensure we’re maximizing return on activity
  • We are a lean team, so understanding and measuring ROI is essential. As such, Lead will manage elements of budgets and allocate spend where prudent to ensure successful lead generation and later stage sales success
  • Report up to the business unit lead and executive team on a weekly basis on what’s working and what isn’t through clearly document processes and activity reports
  • Adhere to Salesforce best practices and a deep knowledge of building and maintaining

Deliver Results:

  • Also responsible for your own pipeline and targets as per your player role in the team
  • Key KPIs will be not only sales, but activity measurements and quality of sales as measured by ability of Creative Services team to execute efficiently and successfully

Requirements:

  • Years of experience: 5-10 of sales experience
  • Software/Tools: Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn Navigator
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Business acumen
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about photography and design
  • Bilingual is a plus
