Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) for development projects of battery systems

In this role, you will take lead responsibility for the technical management of our development projects of battery systems in the product development process. From project acquisition onward, you will engage closely with our customers, internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that development milestones are successfully implemented within the specified timeframes and project scope

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and document development plans and track project progress
  • Create and coordinate release plans, aligning development activities within the R&D project team
  • Cross-functional collaboration with departments such as program management, software development, manufacturing engineering, quality management, service, purchasing and sales
  • Track stakeholder requirements and ensure project implementation
  • Evaluation of technical changes to the product in regards to impact on project success
  • Error Management for technical or process related challenges
  • Release responsibility for product maturity levels across the product lifecycle
  • Coordination of validation plans with the program manager, system engineer, and relevant stakeholders, also planning and coordination of prototype builds
  • Provide technical support during project acquisition, including effort and schedule assessments
  • Monitor systems analysis, e.g. FMEA and FTA
  • Contribute to and continuously optimize development processes

Your profile

  • Degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering) or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in R&D, product or system development, e.g., as a technical project manager in the automotive sector
  • Ideally, technical experience in the field of Lithium-Ion battery systems or electric vehicle drives
  • Strong team and communication skills, as well as a sense of responsibility
  • Good presentation skills with a goal-oriented and structured mindset
  • Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, product development processes, and common product development methodologies is desirable
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Fluent in German and English
