The Senior Graphic Designer joins Transwestern’s national new business development group of writers, strategists, and designers — working on national pitches, proposals, and branding initiatives. The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation of high-end print and digital collateral, with a heavy emphasis on layout design. The role joins a highly creative and collaborative team that is also responsible for the strategy and creation of branding initiatives for Transwestern.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Knowledge of both print and digital processes; experience in executing on high-quality deliverables; motivated to bring innovative ideas, technology & processes to the team
  • Conceptualize, plan, design, and produce a wide range of graphic and/or illustrative materials such as: pitch decks and proposals; printed new business materials (magazines, fold-outs, or branded gifts); visual direction for company-wide templates; brand standards guides; marketing campaigns (eblasts, brochures, social media, etc.); event collateral; newsletter templates.
  • Coordinate the production process; develop and write printing and/or other production specifications and select appropriate production media and materials.
  • Participate in planning and strategy sessions with Transwestern professionals around the United States on a wide variety of types and sizes of projects and assignments. Other design responsibilities as assigned by national new business development team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Arts, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years’ professional design and graphics experience
  • Strong production skills and knowledge of print processes required — experience using both traditional process and web based digital process providers.
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
  • Experience with both traditional and digital proposal and presentation creation.
  • Motion graphics, Web design (HTML, Wix, Squarespace) experience a plus.
  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) experience required.
  • Strong conceptual ability - extremely creative with the ability to depersonalize own efforts in order to incorporate input from others to affect project completion and organization buy-in.
  • Ability to change course/direction on projects at a moment’s notice; ability to reprioritize tasks and timelines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines; ability to work independently and to prioritize responsibilities; multi-tasking.
  • Creative flair with top-rate conceptual and visual skills; ability to take concepts and ideas and transform them into images.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiastic about becoming an expert on how to uniquely communication the company’s vision through visual communication.
