The Position

As a Regional Medical Advisor at Novo Nordisk, you will play a pivotal role in driving the medical and scientific engagement strategy for our cardiometabolic portfolio in your region. You will collaborate closely with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and internal stakeholders to ensure the effective communication of medical data, contribute to evidence generation, and support the overall regional business plans. As part of your key responsibilities, you will foster relationships with health care professionals (HCPs) and KOLs through field presence, driving meaningful medical interactions and executing a structured engagement plan. You will act as a core member of the Regional Team North & Mid Denmark, aligning medical and commercial strategies whilst shaping the medical aspect of regional business plans to drive successful execution; Train and support colleagues in the region, enhancing their medical engagement capabilities.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Establish yourself as a scientific expert, driving impactful stakeholder interactions and identifying Investigator Sponsored Study (ISS) opportunities and contribute to innovative research ideas
  • Identifying evidence gaps and contribute to real world evidence generation and facilitate scientific publication efforts
  • Lead and partake in advisory boards, effectively communicating insights to internal teams and supporting the implementation of the Denmark Medical Affairs strategy
  • Drive the regional medical education activities to increase disease awareness and management capabilities for HCPs in your region
  • Strategic and scientific partner to the clinical trial team to ensure clinical trial conduct of highest quality

Qualifications

As our Regional Medical Advisor you hold a master or preferably a Ph.D. degree in medicine, pharmaceutical or other natural sciences; has a proven track record of professional experience within in the clinical/pharmaceutical industry in diabetes or cardiometabolic medicine.

Moreover, you meet the below requirements:

  • Proven experience in management of Medical Affairs activities, of clinical trials, observational studies, project management and development of medical education material and publications and planning of and conducting advisory boards/expert panels
  • Innate ability and drive to engage and interact authoritatively with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent in both Danish and English in oral and written forms

Candidate should be based in region North or Mid Jutland, Denmark.

The Medical & Scientific Affairs Department constitutes a group of regional medical advisors and medical managers who are responsible for driving and/or leading the scientific activities within the Novo Nordisk focus therapy areas. As part of our key missions, we strive to improve patients' lives by ensuring healthcare decisions are based on latest evidence. We generate and disseminate evidence related to our focus areas in close collaboration with key stakeholders. We carry out the ISS process and support generation and interpretation of real-world studies across Denmark. Additionally, we oversee and drive speaker selection and scientific content for external meetings such as our medical education program. We work in a culture of result orientation, collaboration, trust, vulnerability, healthy conflicts, accountability, and commitment. NNDK is based in Ørestad, Denmark. The regional medical advisors work primarily from home.
