Job Description

The Senior Executive for Social Listening will primarily support in designing, conducting and delivering standard and custom social listening insights reports. The talent will translate briefs into well thought out constructed queries that will monitor social conversations for brands, programs, products, marketing campaigns, events across clients and internal stakeholders. Diving deep into the data to uncover drivers of social buzz and translating the data into a compelling story would be a key skillset the talent will have.

  • Building Boolean queries as well as cleaning, extracting and analyzing data. Prior experience in building effective and well thought out Boolean queries for social listening would be a plus.
  • Social listening tool setup including keywords, query parameters and dashboards. Become a proficient user of the social listening & customer experience management tools.
  • Good understanding of social performance metrics and their use in providing input into business planning/decisions.
  • Agile thinking and ability to work effectively under pressure in highly crunched timelines for media pitches.
  • Recommend critically thought engagement strategies with audiences based on data-driven social/cultural insights.
  • Pull and interpret data from social tools including volume, sentiment, conversation drivers, influencers, etc.
  • Create and edit reporting deliverable for PowerPoint, Newsletter and Excel formats that transform social data into a clear story. Visualize findings legibly using charts, tables and infographics, and provide actionable insights based on concrete data. Prior experience developing engaging insights heavy newsletters would be an advantage.
  • Support the manager on the deliverable calendar of recurring schedule and ad hoc reports.
  • Adhere to global Social Listening collaboration requirements including upkeep of shared calendars.
  • Be curious and analytical with social data. Should have the curiosity and drive to explore other data sources in developing or supporting a compelling story.
  • Building custom social listening/analytics proposals, executing projects end-to-end, confidently managing client/stakeholder conversations and confidently presenting the findings to clients & stakeholders. Prior experience of independently managing end-to-end social listening projects would be a plus.
  • Support in growing the social analytics stream by holistic integration of other data sources & methods, social analytics and driving higher revenue through client relationship management and effective business development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Market Research, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or similar.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in a market research role (qualitative focused)
  • Arabic speaker - knowledge of different arabic dialects would be useful
  • Good conversational skills
  • Client facing
  • Presentation skills
  • Accountable - can handle tasks/deliverable on their own
  • Insights generation (qual and quant) - analytical, curious, knows how to frame an insight
  • Able to take insights and build a story/report into ppt - something visually appealing and understandable
  • Previous research knowledge would be a great advantage
  • Able to take insights and build recommendations for the client based on them 
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (personal or work experience) - what differentiates the different platforms, types of people who are on them, types of content they are likely to see on them, etc. 
  • Social Listening knowledge & experience would be preferable (ex. of some tools: Netbase/ brandwatch/etc. )
