Notebook Product Engineering is responsible for achieving engineering objectives/deliverables in the product development, sustaining till discontinuance phases of the product lifecycle. This position is ultimately accountable for the performance and quality of the product in the factory and the field. Building strong linkages/relationships with key partners in R&D, regional engineering, component suppliers, ODM partners and TCE organization is critical to success.

If you are our Mechanical Product Engineer, Notebook in Taiwan, you will have a chance to:

  • Lead to develop a product that is able to be assembled by robotic manufacturing line through working with HP architectures and across stakeholders.
  • Reviews and evaluates DFm/DFA activities for compliance with product engineering guidelines and factory production principles; integrates suggestions, updates, and innovations to drive manufacturing ROI meeting goal and delivery BIC quality of products.
  • Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership through partnering with ODMs and HP internal stakeholders to accommodate DFm and DFA •
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff.

Are you a high-performer? We are looking for an individual with: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent,
  • 15+ years of related experience in ME design, manufacturing process.
  • Experienced on design for digital factory.
  • Capable to review mechanical design using proE.
  • Familiar with Notebook manufacturing end to end production process.
  • Using, evaluating, and developing appropriate engineering design tools and software packages.
  • Excellent analytical and leading skills to resolving problem
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.
