Position SummaryCreate and maintain a clean, safe, inviting environment for students, living, or working in Residence Halls on campus, and visitors.

Minimum QualificationsSome knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; an equivalent combination of training and experience. Special certification may be required for some of these positions. Special note: this is a generalized representation of positions in this class and is not intended to identify essential functions per ADA. Examples of competencies are typical of the majority of positions, but may not be applicable to all functions.

Clean Bathrooms

Essential Tasks 

  • On a daily basis – clean toilet bowls, seats, base, shower walls, all partitions, floor drains, tubs, urinals, pipes, soap dispensers, and all fixtures, vents, and mirrors. 
  • Keep the bathroom odor-free and sanitized. Remove trash and clean trash receptacles as needed. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

Key ResponsibilityClean Kitchens and Laundry Rooms

  • Essential Tasks
  • On a daily basis – clean countertops, stove tops, floors, appliances, etc.

  • On a daily basis – clean all common areas, floors, mirrors, dusting radiators, water fountains, stairwells, elevators, windows/window sill, etc.

  • On a daily basis – check chemical stations, bottles, and all equipment for any malfunctions, safety and health checks.

  • Remove and properly dispose of trash and recyclables if it applies.
