Title Civil Designer

Location Orange, CA
Description Our office in Sacramento, CA is currently seeking a Designer to join our team. The qualified candidate will develop concepts as well as work on preliminary engineering and final design for large scale projects. This would include developing geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading design, drainage, superelevation, construction details, and work zone plans.

Responsibilities:
•Generate concept level and final design grading using AutoCAD Civil 3D
•Prepare exhibits and final design plans
•Generate earthwork quantities and slope stake notes
•Make revisions to plans based on comments
•Manage deadlines for on-time submittals
•Manage CAD Standards
Position Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent proficiency with Civil 3D - drafting and design
• 10+ years of relevant civil design experience
• Working experience in the preparation of construction plans and documents
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
• Ability to provide mentorship and train staff
