DESCRIPTION

AWS App Runner is a fully managed container application service that lets you build, deploy, and run containerized web applications and API services without prior infrastructure or container experience.

The AWS App Runner team is looking for a passionate, experienced Software Development Engineer to work on both our copilot and console customer experiences to further grow and enhance the features that the service offers to customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Get to work with a wide array of AWS services. There is always something new to learn.
  • Build services and tooling which allow customers who use AWS App Runner to deploy mission critical applications quickly and safely.
  • Own projects from start to end throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Work with multiple teams within AWS and Amazon to build solutions that create value to them and their customers using AWS App Runner.
  • Interact with customers on public forums (AWS, GitHub, et cetera) to respond to queries, issues, and complaints.

You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and customers to ensure we are delivering an experience that makes it easy to do some of the most complex tasks. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
